Now, he prefers to sit back and laugh.
Back in Tamworth again, this time on a much bigger stage and with more notoriety than their first visit – that didn’t quite go to plan.
“We hadn’t even left Tasmania with this trailer we got to lug all of our gear and there was already smoke coming off the tyres,” Tom Wolfe said.
“We got to Dubbo and smashed the draw bar, we were stranded.
“When we finally got here we had just enough money to buy an Eagle Boys pizza so we sat on the steps near the roundabout and ate that.”
The boys are old friends and rose to fame as runners up on television show Australia’s Got Talent.
Brothers Tom and Nick grew up on the farm that’s been in their family for the last 120 years and met Brodie on the school bus.
Every Sunday he’d come around for dinner regardless of how hungover he was.

“It was so funny, we’d be at home and mum and dad would be like – do we serve?” Tom said.
“You’d hear his car coming up the road and start cutting up.”
The brothers lost their father a few years ago and the impact helped shape their hit album Country Heart.
As they’ve gained life experience their music has changed significantly, Nick said.
“You grow up a bit and you try to write more real and honest songs,” he said.
”But we are our family, I mainly used to write but these guys have gotten into it lately and I think that’s added something different.
“We’re getting in the zone to write a new album.”
The boys are incredibly down to Earth and they plan to keep it that way.
Work as a country music artist is less Ferrari’s and more small business, Nick said.
“The three of us keep each other pretty grounded, we made a rule that if anyone gets caught saying “Don’t you know who I am?” they get punched in the face,” he said.
“It’s never been activated,” Tom said. The boys are playing one huge show at The Albert Hotel on Wednesday January 22 from 8:30pm.
