The best of the best young waterskiers from around the country, including one from as far as Perth, converged on Moree to compete in the national waterskiing tournament, which began on Saturday, January 19.
All up, about 60 skiers will take to the water in slalem, trick and jump categories in under 21s, under 17s, under 14s, under 12s and under 10s age divisions across the two days of competition.
The first day of competition got off to a great start on Saturday, despite the 40-degree heat and strong winds, with some impressive performances.
Among the competitors is current Australian under 21s overall waterski champion Archie Davis and current under 17s world jump champion Sade Ferguson.
Competitors will get another shot at adding to their scores during day two on Sunday.
Winners will be determined based on the cumulative scores from both days of competition.
The tournament follows the week-long Australian Junior Waterski School, which provided an opportunity for 30 of the competitors to fine-tune their skills and get a feel for the water ahead of nationals.
