The host of ABC radio’s Saturday Night Country segment, a solo artist, part of the Bennett, Bowtell and Urquhart trio and most importantly - a mum, Urquhart has grown fond of wearing many different hats.
And, she’s used the Toyota Country Music Festival to launch her new single, Chain of Joy.
“It’s all about happiness and educating my kids that happiness is something we can create ourselves,” she said.
“That’s hard to do sometimes when things aren’t working out in life and if I can instill the message that they have the power to change things in their heart and carry that into adulthood I think I’ve done okay as a parent.”

The single released on Friday, it’s co-written with Urquhart’s good friend from America Kim Richey.
It features on Urquhart’s first solo album in 10 years, Frozen Rabbit, that comes out in April.
With banjo, fiddles and some fantastic dobro playing by Montgomery Church’s James Church, it’ll be well worth the wait.
Urquhart is playing on Tuesday at Centrepoint and Wests, The Capitol Theatre and Wests on Wednesday.
