But there’s a few things local publicans want party-goers to keep in mind before the festivity gets flowing.
Tamworth liquor accord chairman Ian Dundon said he has usually seen well-behaved crowds from his post behind the bar at The Longyard Hotel.
But with extreme heat bearing down on the city and a heavy police presence expected, Mr Dundon had a few shots of wisdom for the patrons.

“The hot weather is a complication,” he said.
“You need to take that into account and you need to drink water and keep hydrated.”
He said people would be wise to ensure they’ve got options when it comes to transport during the festival.

“Make sure you have a ‘Plan B’, it’s really important not to drink and drive,” he said.
“There will be a lot of police around and they’ll be focusing on anti-social behaviour and drink driving.”
Mr Dundon said there was still plenty of fun to be had in Tamworth during the festival.
He said it was pretty easy for revellers to avoid a regrettable and forgettable night out in the country music capital.
“It’s up to each licensee, but what we would say, is they just have to be sensible and drink alcohol in moderation,” he said.
“Each hotel will work into a plan of management.
“Observe the lockout laws, it’s one o’clock generally, but there is at least one premises with a 12.30 lockout.
Mr Dundon said there was no shortage of transport options in Tamworth now.
“We can remind them there are a lot of taxis and we now have Uber in Tamworth,” he said.
“And just stay hydrated in hot weather.”
While he said crowds were generally maintained decorum during the country music festival he still issued a gentle reminder.
“You’ve just got to be respectful, respect the bands and have a good time,” he said.
