Next week, Southside Uniting Church will host four days of yarn-spinning events.
Want-to-be poets will have to opportunity to have the opportunity to strut their stuff in walk-up segments on Tuesday and Thursday at 9am, and Wednesday at 1.30pm.
The famous Golden Damper competition has been a must for both locals and visitors for 30 years. This year it will be two heats, on Tuesday and Thursday at 2pm. The finals will be held on Friday, 1pm.
On Friday morning, there will be a performance by Dean Perrett, and the much loved Poettes in the afternoon.
There are also be workshops to encourage novices to try their hand at writing and performing bush poetry.
Admission to each event is $5.
