IT WASN’T just the locks flowing at the Kooty pub on the weekend.
Locals were pouring donations into the fabulous follicular fundraiser, Mullets for MND, with more than $30,000 raised for motor neurone disease research.
While the motley manes have been the subject of outright admiration and potentially jealousy on the streets of Kootingal, the main aim of the hairy game was from the heart.
It was about raising money for motor neurone disease research, an illness which has struck many in the community, including Graham Yeo, the father of the Kootingal publican, Andrew Yeo.
Organiser expected the fundraising tally to grow.
