Andrew George Pegley appeared in Armidale Local Court on Friday for the second time since his arrest in a raid on a Diehard property, near Glen Innes on Wednesday.
The 38-year-old is facing five drug-related charges but was also slapped with a firearms prohibition order when police came knocking this week.
About 2pm, New England police went to the property on Old Grafton Road at Diehard to serve the order, Inspector Matt Hemsworth told the Leader.
“Police served a firearm prohibition order on a 38-year-old man at the property,” he said.
“A search warrant was executed and subsequent searches of the property led to the discovery of what we allege to be 150 cannabis plants, of varying sizes.”

Inspector Hemsworth said police would allege a large amount of cannabis leaf and oil was also found.
“Police will allege the 38-year-old man was directly involved in the supply of cannabis leaf and oil after the amount of prohibited drugs that was seized at the property,” he said.
“Police allege it was a sophisticated set-up in that it had quite a lot of pipes across a number of sites on the property as part of the operation.”
Pegley is charged with supplying and possessing a large amount of cannabis leaf, supplying and possessing cannabis oil and cultivating the drug.
He was not required to enter pleas in court on Friday and made no application for bail, which was formally refused by magistrate Michael Holmes. Pegley will remain behind bars until early-February.
Inspector Hemsworth said investigations are continuing.
“Police are planning similar operations in the Diehard area, and anyone actively involved in the supply of prohibited drugs will be targeted,” he said.
