TRAFFIC is one of the bigger complaints at Tamworth Country Music Festival.
Here at The Leader, we recommend getting around the festival by foot or using public transport where possible to avoid the hassle of parking around Peel Street.
If you have to drive, here’s a list of exactly what roads will close and when from Friday 18 to Sunday 27, including the Cavalcade – where we got some great shots last year.
The main street will close in the early hours of Thursday January 17 from White Street to Brisbane Street and reopens Monday January 28 at 7pm.
Brisbane Street to Bourke Street will remain open for the festival.
Closed from Smith Place egress to Kable Avenue from 5am on Wednesday January 16 to Tuesday January 29 at 6am.
From Brisbane Street to the south of Fitzroy Street, Kable Avenue will be closed from 5am on Wednesday January 16 to midday on Tuesday January 29.
