In reply, North Coastal began their run chase in disastrous fashion losing their first wicket with just run on the board, before Harrison Bassingthwaighte helped steady the ship with a top score of 35.
The side went on to secure victory by two wickets despite the efforts of Central North’s Charlie Harris who claimed 4-33.
Central North co-coach Barry Smith said he was “really proud” of his side’s efforts.
“It was a good game of cricket that ebbed and flowed throughout their innings,” Smith said.
“I think they ebbed just when it counted and got across the line, but there will certainly be a lot for our boys to take out of it.”
Central North will now look to bounce back in their clash with Western on Tuesday.
