Along with six players from the Hunter region, the youngsters will represent Central North against the state’s best under-14 players in five games over four days.
Central North coach Barry Smith said he was “very excited” to see the team come together.
“It’s always a bit tough to tell how the boys will gel together initially,” Smith said.
“I haven’t seen too much of them in person, but from what I’ve seen I think we have a very solid squad.
“It’s going to be interesting to see how they go.”

The likes of Tamworth’s Ben Livingstone, Moree’s Ed Montgomery and Glen Innes’s Mitchell Duddy will be among the region’s representatives in Albury.
“We are lucky to have a really well-rounded squad,” Smith said.
“I think we will bat pretty deep in most games, probably down to number eight or nine.
“However, I think one thing the boys will have to adapt to is focusing on their specific role in the team.
“A lot of these guys would normally bat and bowl for their clubs on a regular basis, now though, they will need to just focus on what they can do for the team.”
Smith said while winning the tournament would be nice, he was focused on developing his players.
“In the end these kinds of carnivals really come down to enhancing the kids and their skills,” he said.
“We will be out to win for sure but we will certainly be focused on ensuring everyone takes a lot out of it as well.”
