THE Tamworth Marsupial Park is open every day during the school holidays.
The gates are open from 8am to 5pm, seven days a week with free BBQ and picnic areas, bush walks, the amazing adventure playground and interactive animal enclosures.
If you’re lucky, you could spot some of the park’s newest, and cutest, residents after a new chick hatched in the emu enclosure and a wallaroo was donated to the facility’s menagerie late last year.
John McDarmont said the baby emu was already quite a popular attraction.
Mr McDarmont said a young Wallaroo joey was donated to the park after it was found in the pouch of its mother who was culled on a farm.
The Endeavour Road park is home to “kangaroos, lace monitors, echidnas, possums, carpet pythons”.
