For the first time in history, the Championships will feature women’s tackle rugby league.
Kate McCulloch will coach the Group 19 team which was finalised at their third training session on Saturday.
From the Greater Northern competition, a regional team will selected to take part in the Country Championships.
Group 19 president Terry Carson said they’re looking forward to hitting the field on February 9 against Group 4 and Group 21.
“The girls have been training hard and it’s a pretty good squad Kate and the selectors have put together,” he said.
“They should put in good performances at the championships.”
Walcha’s Robyn Broadbent will captain the team.
