“The club has always been looking to upgrade, we’ve been putting in grant applications over the last 12 months trying to get onto some money to bring these facilities up to a current standard,” he said.
“What we have here was built in the 80s by TAFE students so it’s now 30-something years old and in need of upgrading.
“We’re doing disabled toilets which will make it a lot easier, the kids and horses together have a wonderful bond – they just love it.”

The club itself has raised $10,000 towards the overall cost of the upgrade.
Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson visited the grounds for a tour of the out-of-date facilities.
Not only will a disabled toilet be put in, but the kitchen facilities will receive a full face lift so the club can cater to community events.
