With just 900 tickets at 20 bucks each, the Town Hall gig sold out in under 10 minutes.
Now, the idea of a live broadcast to the big stage in Toyota Park for those who missed out has been floated by the public.
It has the support of Entertainment Venues manager Peter Ross, who offered Tamworth Regional Entertainment Centre to Urban over Tamworth Country Music Festival 2019.
“It could have been available and certainly we suggested TRECC as the better option so as many fans could see him as possible,” he said.

“Secondly it’s more equipped, but Keith and the management wanted to proceed with the Town Hall – but we certainly suggested TRECC in our view would be a better fit for everybody.
“I think broadcasting it locally would be a great idea but it’s something his management would have to look at doing.”
Tickets to the exclusive concert were announced on Tuesday morning and crowds diligently lined up before Capitol Theatre doors had even opened.
Urban chose the smaller Town Hall venue for its sentimental value, being the place he first performed at Star Maker in the 1990s.
Just days after the announcement The Leader received a suggestion from a fan that the concert be shown on the big screen in Toyota Park.
Urban’s management have remained tight-lipped on the idea but council’s business and community director John Sommerlad and festival organiser Barry Harley make the call on what concerts go on in the park.
Open to the idea, ultimately the decision would come down to Urban’s management team Mr Sommerlad said.
"We did suggest it should have been held in a bigger venue but they insisted on having it in the Town Hall,” he said.
“At the end of the day the decision is theirs, not ours – we understood that once Keith was coming there would be a huge demand on tickets and a lot of disappointed people but that’s what he wanted to do.
“Whether we can stream it is again a decision for them because it’s his concert.”
Keith Urban is bringing his Graffiti U Tour to Town Hall on January 22.
