Gaynor batted through Mornington’s innings, posting an unbeaten 70 as the side chased down Albion’s first innings total of 169.
Acting Mornington captain Rob Anderson said Gaynor “stepped up to the plate” when the side needed him.
“I’d say it’s been a long time since we have chased down a total like that,” Anderson said.
“It’s great to see Stan growing week after week.
“He plays the anchor role so well for us, but in saying that he is able to put the bad ball away really well.
“Along with Justin Carter (35) the boys ended up getting the job done.”

Anderson said the consecutive win helped bring a “positive vibe” to the club.
“To see both us and Kookaburras win is great for the competition,” he said.
“I think it will help ignite everyone and really produce some positive cricket.
“Our mixture of older and younger guys will certainly help us stay competitive in a lot of our matches, but only time will tell if it will help us win.”
The side’s win was earlier set up with a tight bowling effort from Ben Hennessy (3-29) with Scott Clarke (44) putting up a fight with the bat for Albion.
Ash White (3-23) bowled admirably for Albion but it was not enough to stop Mornington from recording their second win for the season.
“For us it is about continuing the momentum,” Anderson said.
“The feeling is good but we need to keep it up.”
