Tom O’Neill, the Tamworth captain, believes that the side needs a big away win over Inverell in their last game to have any chance of making the final.
After winning the toss, Narrabri were dismissed for 190 in the 47th over. In reply, Tamworth capitulated for 110 in 31.1 overs.
O’Neill said: “I think we were a bit disappointing with the ball and we just didn’t bat very well at all.”
He added: “We were just short a few batsmen, really.”
Narrabri opener Nick Smart scored his second 50 of the annual tournament – the 94-ball 79 taking his tally to 168 in three matches, at an average of 56. Luke Meppem made 33.
