Group 4’s women’s nine competition concluded at Ken Chillingworth Oval on Saturday, with the girls putting in a mighty effort as the mercury soared above 30 degrees.
As a healthy crowd looked on, Gunnedah won both their matches – beating a combined Bendemeer-Wee Waa side 20-4 and then besting Boggabri 12-4 in the the final clash of the day.
In the other games, South West Robins 1 beat Boggabri 16-8, and South West Robins 2 downed Bendemeer-Wee Waa 20-0.
Group 4 named its women’s nines squad at the conclusion of the tournament.
