There are Christmas Carol events galore happening over the next few weeks and we’ve compiled a sample of them that could be worth checking out.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 7
Gunnedah’s Carols in the Park
Gunnedah’s Carols in the Park will see the shire’s schools take to the stage to perform musical numbers. Gunnedah Shire Band, and Plains Pipes and Drums will also bring their musical prowess to the festivities.
The free annual event will once again be held in Wolseley Park, with entertainment to kick off at 6.30pm.
Rotary Club will feed the hungry hordes with sausage sangas and glowsticks will be available for purchase.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 8
Combined Churches Carols in the Park
Carols in the Park is on again this year at Tamworth Bicentennial Park.
People are invited to claim their picnic spot from 6.30pm onwards with the main program, which includes Colin Buchanan, commencing at 7.30pm.
Lions clubs of Tamworth will be manning the barbecue with a guarantee of a steady supply of food. Candles and drinks will also be available.
Kootingal Recreational Reserve Committee Carols on the Oval
Bring a picnic rug or chair to Kootingal Oval to begin celebrating the Christmas season with family and friends at Carols on the Oval.
Food and drinks available to purchase as well as glow sticks and candles. Face painting and jumping castle for the kids. Gold coin entry.
