There will be plenty of rough and tumble for a worthy cause at the ABCRA National Rodeo Finals in January.
Locals, JB and Jack, breakfast host and news reader at 92.9; Lisa Hinwood owner of Keo design; Bobbie Davis, metal health worker for Flourish Australia; and Luke Stevenson, real estate agent for LJ Hooker Tamworth will well and truly be stepping out.
The event will take them out of their comfort zone to support the Cancer Council and raise vital funds for women’s cancer.
The brave guys and gals have put up their hands to ride a mechanical bull at the Tough Enough to Wear Pink event, running in conjunction with the ABCRA National Rodeo Finals in January.
The funds raised through the event will go towards the fight against cancer.
“Money raised through Pink Ribbon fundraisers will help fund vital research into breast cancer, cancer prevention and advocacy programs, and support services to help those affected at every stage of their journey,” community relations co-ordinator, Samantha Crawley, said.
“We are lucky to have a number of support services available through Cancer Council in our region and are able to see funds raised make a direct difference in our community.”
The ABCRA National Finals Rodeo is being held at the Australian Equine and Livestock Events Centre (AELEC) in Tamworth, from Thursday 24th to Saturday 26th January, 2019.
