The happy man’s entry was the only division one winning entry across Australia on Monday November, 26. All up his total prize is $1,003,974.45.

It’s the third division one win to land in Tamworth so far this year.

NSW Lotteries made contact with the man this morning who was understandably chipper.

“It’s put a bit of a spring in my step I can tell you,” he laughed.

“One million dollars – that’s a nice round figure.

“I found out this morning. I got an email notification that had come in overnight. I looked at it and then looked at it again. It’s excellent.”

The regular player said he had been marking his Lotto entries using the same numbers for the past five years.

“I just picked them randomly but then stuck with them. I didn’t really expect them to do anything,” he said.

While the news of the win was still sinking in, the man said he already had some plans for his million-dollar win.

“We’d like to upgrade the home so there’s more space for everyone,” he said.

“This is a nice Christmas present. It means there’s now one thing we don’t have to worry about any more.”
