Sweat and staches went hand in hand on Saturday as Fit2function hosted a Movember marathon to raise funds for men’s health.

The fundraiser, now in its third year, sees teams take it in turns on the row and ski machines.
Each team member punches out 250 metres each before subbing out.

Each team – made up of six or seven athletes – rowed and skied for roughly three hours each.
“Everything went well. We had pretty good numbers. It was a little bit lower key but there was good energy in the room,” Fit2function’s Brady Walker said.
“It was a good atmosphere and everyone stuck around after.”
As far as fundraising goes, Mr Walker hadn’t tallied all the money raised yet but said the total was looking likely to go close to $2000.
“It’ll be close to just under a couple grand,” Mr Walker said.
“It usually comes in thereabouts and based on the numbers it’ll be around there again.”
Mr Walker said the event was “pretty social” with beers and barbecue following the skiing and rowing efforts.
