Locals were allowed a sweet treat on Friday to support a very worthy cause

Northern Inland Credit Union’s Cupcake for a Cause event put smiles on faces, and helped to raise funds to support and educate people living with motor neurone disease and their families and carers.

The event was also timed to coincide with International Credit Union Day.

“This is a cause which is real and relevant to the team here at Northern Inland as we have had staff members with immediate family recently affected by the disease,” CEO, Derek McIntyre said.

‘It is also a great chance for community members to understand the credit union difference.

“As a quality alternative to the big banks, this celebration enables us to support our local communities and raise awareness about causes that are important to them.”
