TAS are now into the quarter-finals of the knockout competition.
With the threat of rain prompting an early start to the match and a decision to reduce it to 40 overs, St Paul’s Grammar School, from Cranebrook, won the toss and sent TAS’ first XI into bat.
TAS openers Toby Smith and Dahlia Glennie made 12 and 17, respectively, and captain Kieran Dennis reached 39 before being bowled by Joe Hilley (3-22).
South African exchange student Christen Taylor also made 39, as TAS finished on 6-183.
The visitors made a steady start. But when players returned to the pitch after lunch, the wickets fell in quick succession, with St Paul’s all out for 77 in the 24th over.

“It was a good result for the team. And we’re excited for the next round,” Dennis said.
