SPECIALIST detectives have raided a Tamworth home as part of an ongoing investigation into cybercrime.

The State Crime Command officers from the NSW Cybercrime Squad were in Tamworth early on Wednesday morning and raided the Hillvue property.
It’s unknown what or if anything was seized from the property, or where the raid occurred, with officers remaining tight-lipped on the details surrounding the operation.
A spokesperson for the State Crime Command confirmed the raid to The Leader but said there were no arrests or charges laid on Wednesday morning.
“Detectives from the Cybercrime Squad have executed search warrants at homes at Hillvue and Dee Why [on Wednesday] morning as part of an ongoing investigation,” the spokesperson said.
“As the investigation is ongoing, no further information is available.”

It’s understood Oxley police assisted in the raid but the investigation is being led by the metropolitan-based squad.
The detectives were seen coming and going from Tamworth Police Station, as the investigation progressed throughout the day.
The spokesperson said investigations were continuing.
