And today is that day: National Agriculture Day.
Robyn Haynes probably put it best when she commented on Facebook saying “I am in absolute awe of the tenacity and perseverance of our farmers in these difficult times.”
Despite it being tough, their generosity knows no bounds.
The National Agriculture Day website says that not only does Australia grow 93 per cent of its own food supply but farmers help fight hunger in Australia by donating tonnes of produce each year.
Australian farmers’ reach doesn’t stop there, though.
Two thirds of the people fed by Aussie farmers live outside of Australia.
It just goes to show how much farmers in Australia do.
