From the unveiling of a commemorative plaque at the entrance to the Tamworth War Memorial Town Hall and an informal morning tea in the Passchendaele Room, to the formal Commemorative Service inside the Town Hall, it was pleasing too that so many members of the community were able to join with us to honour the men and women of the Australian Defence Force who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

As we do every year, we invited representatives from three local schools to present an address, a poem and a prayer at the Town Hall Commemorative Service; the high standard of respect demonstrated by these students was inspiring and uplifting and once again reminded us that the future of remembrance is in good hands.
Many thanks also to the school children whose combined choral voice at the Commemorative Service similarly emphasised the significance of sacrifice and duty.
