A COURT has heard a solicitor for a man charged with killing a Tamworth mother is still waiting for forensic material to be served.

Jesse Leigh Green did not appear in Tamworth Local Court on Wednesday morning on seven charges, including murder, when his case was adjourned.
“A large volume of material was served a couple of weeks ago ... and the parties need some time,” Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) solicitor Ellen Tiedeman told the court.
Green is accused of murdering mother-of-one Teah Luckwell in her Robert Street unit in the early hours of March 28 – 17 hours before her body was discovered.
Magistrate Julie Soars queried the adjournment, after the court file noted CCTV and DNA evidence “was outstanding on the last occasion”.
“CCTV footage has been provided; the FASS [Forensic and Analytical Science Service] material is still outstanding,” Green’s solicitor Frank Falcomata said.
He said Green was not required to appear via video link because “I’ve had a chat to him this morning and advised him” what was to occur.
Green is charged with seven offences including murder, aggravated break-and-enter, larceny and using an offensive weapon, and is yet to enter pleas.
Family members of Miss Luckwell were in court on Wednesday morning for the adjournment, along with the officer-in-charge of Strike Force Penola – the police operation by the state’s homicide squad and Oxley detectives.

Ms Soars ordered the remainder of the brief to be served by Boxing Day.
“I’ll note FASS material is outstanding,” she told the court.
“I’ll mark him ‘bail not applied for, refused’.”
Ms Soars said Green had breach of bond matters, which she adjourned to follow the murder charge on the next court date in January, at Mr Falcomata’s request.
“I think that’s probably the least of his worries,” he said.
