A qualified scientist, Stephanie Cameron comes to the role having been actively involved with Landcare in the Tamworth and North West region for many years.
She was a founding member of the Tamworth Urban Landcare Group, Treasurer of the Tamworth Regional Landcare Association and has served on the Executive Landcare NSW Committee since 2014.

“I’m feeling excited and energised that I’m taking on this new challenge and I think it’s a role that will help me grow as a leader in Landcare and advocating to government for the support we need,” Ms Cameron said.

“The organisation has changed dramatically. It has gone from a volunteer run organisation to a really professional, credible, organisation that government can partner with,” she said, “especially agencies like Local Land Services and the Department of Primary Industries.”
Landcare has over 60,000 community land carers in NSW.
Ms Cameron succeeds long-serving Chair Robert Dulhunty.
