I would like to commend our Council for the apparent consideration it is giving to the non-approval of a large retail development on the busy and, congested Scott Road.

I can recall a similar proposal a couple of years ago by another well-known Australian major retailer who, after personal inspection of the site and, private discussion with myself by the company’s development manager, agreed it was not in the interest of either the Company or, the future of Tamworth. It did not proceed .
Thank you council for putting Tamworth first. There is plenty of vacant land available for such enterprises.
