Ms Tan is the founder of a community-led initiative for female programmers in Asia, TechLadies, and will appear at public events at Armidale and in Sydney. The events are sponsored by Jobs for NSW to coincide with Women's Entrepreneurship Day on November 19.
TechLadies is an online community with more than 2400 members that has helped thousands of women across Asia advance as programmers and gain financial independence through careers in the tech industry.
The intimate event will chart her journey, from putting her heart and soul into a startup that failed, to building developer communities for Facebook and empowering thousands through TechLadies. They will include a question time and a networking opportunity.
The Armidale 'Women in Tech' event with Elisha Tan will be held from 10.30am - 12.30pm at the New England Regional Art Museum at 106-114 Kentucky St, Armidale and you can register for your seat here.
