On Sunday founder David Farrenden and his band of seven ‘admins’ from all over the region will celebrate the anniversary with a Meet and Greet day at Bendemeer.
While the day will primarily be an opportunity for those page administrators, who are based everywhere from Quirindi to Walcha and Wollun, to meet each other, the public are also invited to come and meet the team and talk all things weather and life.
“A lot of the admins don’t know each other so we just thought we could get together at Bendy, which is in the middle of where we all live,” Mr Farrenden said.
“It will be good to get everyone together and talk about what we do – they all add to the page.”
While Mr Farrenden does the majority of the forecasting, the admins each have their own specialties, and are able to post their own videos, pictures and predictions from their own areas on the page.

The weather page has even become so popular that it has spring a sister page, the Northern NSW Region Weather Group, which has even more admins covering an area from “north of Sydney to the QLD and South Australian borders.”
The Meet and Greet will be held at the Bendemeer rest stop, across the river from the Hotel starting at 1pm on Sunday.
