Lively Linseed was a finalist in the 2018 Hong Kong-Australia Business Association Awards held in Sydney on Friday.
Representing NSW, the local exporter was a runner up behind the eventual winner hailing from Queensland.
Business owner Jacqui Donohue said it was “an honour just being a finalist”.
“Sadly it wasn’t to be for us this year,” Ms Donohue said.
“It is a big effort just to get to this stage as there are so many worthy businesses involved.”

Ms Donohue said she was pleased to be showcasing “the variety of products our region can produce”.
“Despite not taking home the award, I think these sorts of things are a great way of showing how productive our region can be,” she said.
“Hopefully it encourages other local businesses to get involved with exporting because there really are some exciting opportunities out there for those looking to take them.”
“For us now though, we will continue to focus on building and maintaining our strong business relationships here and overseas.”
