The Tamworth Business Chamber is jumping out of the gates early on Tuesday, kicking off spring carnival celebrations with the annual Melbourne Cup Breakfast at the Tamworth Jockey Club.
The event kicks off at 7am, and while there is no guest speaker this year there will be a host of other activities and opportunities according to Chamber president Jye Segboer.
“We are going to have Melbourne Cup trivia and the traditional sweeps – but it is really just a fu networking opportunity for locals,” he said.
“It will be a really relaxed morning before people head out for the day to socialise, or even head back to the office – you can have a great morning out and be at your desk by 8.30am.”
Local radio host Dan Missen will also entertain the crowd with a ‘live’ phantom call of the race that stops the nation.
Tickets are $45 for members or $65 for non-members and can be purchased over the phone or online through the Chamber.
