George picked up four wickets on day two to help dismiss Mornington for 118, 36 runs shy of Albion’s first innings total.
“We came into Saturday knowing we had a lot of work to do,” George said.
“They [Mornington] were 2-59 at stumps on day one and we knew it was far from in the bag.”
Justin Carter proved to be the thorn in Albion’s side for much of the innings, posting a hard earned 61.
“The wickets were by no means coming quickly,” George said.
“We were being made to work for them.”

Mornington’s determined showing comes after new skipper Sam Lumby said his side was “sick of losing”.
“I took last summer off from cricket but I think they [Mornington] have really improved,” George said.
“They have got some new players and were definitely making us earn it on Saturday.”
In regards to his own form, George said he thought his “bowling days were over”.
“Before Saturday, I think I had only been able to pick up one wicket,” he said.
“Coming into drinks on Saturday I still hadn’t picked up a wicket, that’s when I said to a few of the boys I can’t buy a wicket.
“Sure enough after that I was lucky enough to pick up a few quick ones.”
Despite the efforts of Carter and fellow opener Trent Lumby (23), only one other Mornington batsman was able to post double figures with Cain Eather finishing with 10.
Albion captain Brad Jenkinson said George’s performance would provide him “with a lot of confidence.”
“He is a really handy option to have with the ball,” Jenkinson said.
“While he won’t blow teams away with pace, he gets good shape and is really consistent. Once we are able to get Luke and Josh Ryan back, Georgie will become a really handy first change option for us going forward.
“Overall it was a satisfying win and I think it will certainly be a confidence boosting performance for him [George].”
James Mack was the next best with the ball for Albion chiming in with 2-27 from 14 overs.
The win see’s Albion sit atop the first grade ladder with 30 points, six points clear of Court House [24 points].
