It has delivered a series of eye-catching results at state and national levels, to leave everyone in the organisation on a high.
Five riders flew the flag for club at those events.
Three riders competed in the state series.
Dan Morris, riding in the 17-24 men's cruiser and the 17-24 men's 20-inch classes, finished No.1 in both.
Ashley Teakle (15 girls 20 inch) finished the series in second place while Zac Whalan (11 boys 20 inch) also finished in second spot.
At the state championships, Dan Morris came second in 17-24 men’s 20 inch and fourth in 17-24 men's cruiser, Jack Davis came second in 16 boys 20 inch and Zac Whalan came fourth in 11 boys 20 inch.
Mark Stone was first in 40-plus masters cruiser.
Stone is a life member of Tamworth City BMX Club and a cerebral palsy sufferer.
Every year BMX NSW runs the Stoney's 40-plus Masters Race at the state championships, in support of his lifetime BMX career – and he always wins it.
Teakle, unfortunately, did not race as she was involved in a crash during the warm-up and suffered concussion.
The great results continued at the national series, with Morris finishing second overall in 17-24 men's cruiser, and Davis finishing third overall in 16 boys 20 inch.
Club spokeswoman Annette Teakle said: “All in all for a tiny little club, that until very recently was not actively running, we are very proud of our five local riders and the results that they have achieved over the 2018 race season.
“These riders and their families have had to travel to all ends of not only NSW but Australia and also the world to participate, and we are very much looking forward to putting the plans we have into play to rebuild BMX on a local level so that we can continue to grow BMX as a sport here in Tamworth.”
