The pregnant Duchess of Sussex, who had been resting for most of the day while Prince Harry undertook engagements on the island, emerged to take a romantic walk with her husband.

The pair, married in May and expecting their first baby in about five months, went for a stroll along the island's Kingfisher Bay Jetty.

They then met with a number of people, including two paramedics who made world headlines with a simple act of kindness.

Meghan, who changed from a maroon polka-dotted dress to a white striped linen sundress, look relaxed and smiling during the walkabout.

Harry had had a busy day taking in the sights of Fraser Island, also known as K'gari - or paradise.

His main official job was to dedicate the K'gari/Fraser forest as part of the Queen's Commonwealth Canopy project to promote forest conservation.

His father Charles had unveiled the plaque during his visit to Bundaberg in April, but it was left to Harry to do the duty in the forest.

"Luckily, we are highly skilled when it comes to unveiling plaques. It runs in the family," he joked.
