A MAN allegedly disqualified from driving has been charged with leading police on a short pursuit in Tamworth.
The 25-year-old was eventually arrested in Kenny Drive on Thursday morning, after allegedly sparking a chase with police in Taminda.
About 10am, general duties officers attempted to stop the silver Commodore when police allege it failed to stop.
Officers initiated a pursuit which was terminated shortly after safety concerns due to the high traffic load in the area.
Extra police were alerted, and officers patrolling nearby in Coledale intercepted the Commodore in Kenny Drive.

A 25-year-old man was arrested and taken to Tamworth Police Station where checks revealed he was allegedly disqualified from driving and was wanted for outstanding domestic violence matters.
He was charged with the unrelated DV offences as well as police pursuit Skye’s Law and disqualified driving.
He was also issued infringements for minor traffic matters.
The man was granted conditional bail and has been ordered to front Tamworth Local Court in November.
