The eight-week program is targeted at girls aged between four and nine, and will run of a Wednesday afternoon from 4-.4.45pm on the new multi-use facility at Oxley High School.
“It’s a good introduction for the girls,” Tamworth program coordinator Craig Drever.
Sessions are for girls only and consist of a 30-minute fun game based skill session and a 15-minute game.
The program is split into two stages with a session plan for girls aged four-seven and one for girls aged eight-nine.
“We’re trying to create a good environment to try soccer or if they already play soccer to try and develop their skills,” Drever said.
Tamworth is one of 12 centres across Northern NSW running the program, which has been developed in line with the game-sense philosophy of sports participation.
The cost is $100 and includes a free participant pack comprising a boot bag, shinpads, ball and more.
