The October 27 concert, featuring iconic Australian acts such as John Farnham, Daryl Braithwaite and Guy Sebastian, is set to be beamed live into Gunnedah’s Kitchener Park via a live stream.
Gunnedah Shire Council will vote at Wednesday’s monthly meeting whether or not to waive a $37.50 ground fee to help stream the concert from Tamworth’s Scully Park into Gunnedah.

The council’s meeting papers say the event will be run in conjunction with Optus.
“Gunnedah was nominated as a location due to the effect which the drought is having locally, size of the town and access to facilities,” the papers read.
“The concert would be promoted as a gold coin donation, with all funds raised going to Buy A Bale.
“It is envisaged that the event will commence at 3pm and finish by 10pm.”
As well as the concert screening, the night will also include a variety of family-friendly activities such as face-painting and a barbecue.
“Optus will provide access to the concert, inflatables for kids entertainment, security and potentially face-painting,” the papers read.
More than 6000 people are expected to pack into Scully Park for the concert and tickets are still available.
The council will host its October meeting on Wednesday from 4.30pm.
