The supermarket chain is set to open a $6.4 million dollar store at 194 Peel Street, between the PCYC and the petrol station, opposite the skate park.
Aldi has also submitted a development application for a store on Scott Road, which has yet to be determined by council.
It’s unclear what Aldi will do with its current store in Centrepoint Shopping Centre, however it has made an application to the NSW government to move its liquor licence from its current store to the new Peel Street location.
The Leader asked the company if it would close the Centrepoint store, but Aldi decline to answer.
“We are always looking for opportunities to expand our store network,” an Aldi spokesperson said.
The Peel Street store will have a 96-space car park, and is expected to employ up to 20 people on a full-time and part-time basis.
