I note Cr Mark Rodda comments in the press on the story that surveyors are working on Goonoo Goonoo Road to prepare a shovel ready plan for funding. He also spoke up on the announcement of QANTAS deciding to locate it's pilot academy in Toowoomba.

Cr Rodda, as an elected official for our city, tell us what are you doing apart from commentating from the fence instead of playing with the team?
Goonoo Goonoo Road is a major thoroughfare and it is the regional council who is working with the government to prepare a plan for the road. You're on council, instead of being so negative, why aren't you trumpeting the positives of getting in and getting on with the job? You've been on council for nearly 4 years, what have you been doing with that time?
In regards to the pilot academy, council is in negotiations with QANTAS. You would be well aware of the progress of these negotiations. Why aren't you getting out and supporting council when you know full well the progress of these negotiations?
Mr. Rodda may not have heard of the Irish poet Brendan Behan, but he might take note of his quote:- Critics are like eunuch in a harem; they know how it's done, they've seen it done, but they are unable to do it themselves. When are you going to do something Mr. Rodda, instead of being a critic?
