Northern Inland Football’s brightest young female talent is at Coffs Harbour this week for the annual State Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) Championships.

Fifteen teams from across Northern NSW will compete in two age divisions – 12-years and 14-years from Wednesday through to Friday.
The NIF 12s kick off their campaign at 9:25am against North Coast Football while the 14s will take on Warners Bay FC at 11:15am followed by Adamstown at 2pm.
The 12s will also face NNSWF NEW SAP at 12.10pm and Macquarie at 3.50pm.
Damon Barwick-Taylor will coach the 12-years side and Emily Carter the 14s.
“The girls haven’t been together long but the majority of the team have played in this tournament together and played together over the last couple of years,” Carter said.
There are a few new faces as well in a side that is predominantly made up of players from Tamworth and, she said, has come together well.
The girls will get plenty of opportunity to polish off their game skills playing seven games over the three days.
“It’s an all girls competition, which is really nice for the girls to be able to play against some of the best girls in Northern NSW,” Carter said.
She said it will be a good challenge for the girls.
“There’ll be some tough competition,” she said.
