The trial event will be held in Tamworth on Saturday, October 6, to help people with FHA information and forms.
The session will cover who is eligible, how to create a myGov account and claim online, what documents are needed and what support is available.
“We will be opening for farmers only to come in and gather information and, if they wish, lodge an application with assistance if need be,” a Department of Human Services spokesman said.

Eligible individuals can receive up to $16,000 a year, plus up to an extra $7200 in new lump-sum measures introduced after all of NSW and Queensland was drought-declared.
- The farmers-only information session will be held at Centrelink Tamworth, 219 Peel Street, on Saturday, October 6, from 10am to noon.
- People are asked to bring ID, and income and asset documents.
