In premier league, DK will take the field in both the first and reserve grade deciders after two clean sheet victories in their recent preliminary finals.
The DK reserve grade team will take on North Companions after accounting for Oxley Vale Attunga 2-nil in Saturday's preliminary final while their first grade side booked their spot to take on the undefeated Tamworth FC with a 4-nil triumph over East Armidale.
Their New England second division team rounds out the trio of senior teams turning out in grand finals after a 2-nil win over Armidale City on Saturday.
The first grade side hit form at the right time of year, coming from fourth at the end of the season to make their way to the big dance.
They hit their straps in their minor semi-final win over OVA before toppling Easts 4-nil on Saturday.
Both sides battled and found themselves with opportunities but it was DK who made the most of them.
Reece Habchi found himself one-on-one with the keeper to slot the first goal and less than five minutes later DK had their second with Geoff Donnan slicing a kick through Easts’ defence for Naran Singh to capitalise.
In the second stanza, DK added two more with a long kick by Sam Constance finding the back of the net and Singh slotting his second on the stroke of full-time.
“Four-nil [is a] pretty good win,” DK coach Evan Quaife said.
“Had to be close in the semi-finals and it seemed a close game but we took our chances.”
Quaife couldn’t find a fault in his side’s performance.
“I thought Sam Constance again did a really good job on Brent Pedlow, didn't give him a sniff really,” he said.
“A good team performance across the park.
“Naran Singh, we looked dangerous every time we went up front, worked hard in the middle, defensively solid.”
Their grand final opponents in Tamworth FC are unbeaten this season and Quaife is excited about the prospect of his “in-form” team taking on the top side.
“[I am] really looking forward to it,” he said.
“It is a challenge ahead of us and I am sure we will do really well.
“[We are] more a team in-form at the moment and we will relish the chance at having a go at knocking FC off.”
