Winner of The One in 2008, a television program that finds Australia’s most gifted psychics, Wilson is headed to Tamworth on her Australian tour.

In a time where her life was in turmoil, she started to hear voices.

“Naturally you start to think you’re mad, eventually I tuned in because they weren’t going away,” she said.

“I’ve had a lot of grief in my life… unfortunately that for me led to all sorts of addictions, and in the midst of those I started to hear voices – I decided it was time to get myself together, but the voices remained.”

Losing her brother at 17 and her four-and-a-half year old daughter at 22, Wilson’s own experiences with grief help her connect with the people she serves.

There isn’t a spirit who can cause humans harm, she believes, and the afterlife is a chance for us all to review our actions and make amends.

“I believe the spirit wold is within our dimension and we mix and mingle, it’s a special place from what I can gather,” Wilson said.

“If we’ve been a bit of a mongrel to somebody we take the opportunity to balance it out through a medium and say sorry, or we balance it out in another lifetime.

“I find the energy of the living to be much more draining than that of the spirit world."

A psychic since 2002, she’s never met a spirit who’s scared her, and she’s spoken to convicted murderers and child abusers who’s only wish was to make things right with the living.

“I’ve never met a spirit who scared me… in life they were considered evil but in death they just wanted to say how damn sorry they were,” she said.

And, she doesn’t try to deal with skeptics either.

“If someone is a die-hard skeptic they will be regardless of what I say,” she said.

“I’ve not tried to prove it to them and it is unprovable.

“It’s like me, I do not see the sense in golf and if at any point in my life I’m at a golf course something has gone terribly wrong in my life, it’s the same with some people found at a medium show, it means something has gone really weird in their life.”

For audiences coming to see the show, Wilson recommends brushing up on family history and remembering those they have lost – sometimes an aunt might bring in closer family members.
