All profits from public train rides and the Loco Café will be donated to the campaign to assist farmers in the grip of drought across the region.
Traditionally, September is the most popular of the monthly running days, with the track operating for nearly ten years.
Members of the Tamworth and District Model Engineers, operators of the miniature railway, voted to make the donation to support the local community.
On a busy day, up to half a dozen trains can run across two main circuits and the Oxley Loop, offering the best railway views in the region, plus two tunnels (featuring new animal designs inside) and the Keith Singh bailey bridge, from which passengers can see across Oxley High School and out to the airport.
