First up is Calibre Country, which has just helped raise $2130 for drought-stricken farmers.
Owners are Craig and Jodie Mearns.
“We were able sell some of our products with 100 per cent of the sales going to Aussie Helpers, a charity supporting our farmers,” Mrs Mearns said.
“With our great customers and suppliers, we raised $2130.”
The Mearns have been operating Calibre Country for two-and-a-half years and employ six staff.
Mr Mearns has many years of hunting and shooting under his belt.
“Here at Calibre Country we sell a number of different brands and calibre of firearms,” Mrs Mearns said.
“We cater for all shooters from air rifles right up to the high end shooter.
“We have an assorted array of ammo with great deals on bulk buys. We have you covered for all of your firearms related items, safes, cleaning gear, eye and ear protection, gun bags, caps, knifes, hunting gear and loads more.”
Some of the staff are members of the local clayshooting club, while the shop sponsors some of the clubs.
“We have an amazing community and surrounds, our customer base is widespread and diverse; we get to meet a lot of great people,” Mrs Mearns said.
“Our business is based on integrity, dedication and attitude, our customers are our motivation.”
