TAMWORTH royalty are being asked to put their hand up for coronation at the 2019 Queen of Country Music Quest.

Established in 1984 with the Zonta Club of Tamworth back at the helm, the city is searching for its queen.
“The Queen of Country Music Quest is not just a one-week event,” Zonta Club president Stephanie Cameron said.
“The personal and professional development opportunities afforded each of the entrants ensures every girl comes out a winner.”
The reigning queen is offered public speaking and etiquette training, confidence coaching, styling, image and grooming tips as well as formal media training.
The focus this year is to get as many future regional PR moguls on board, with plenty of young women entering Ms Cameron said.
“Zonta’s focus is to empower women to grow in confidence and make a significant contribution to their community, so it is entirely fitting that we seek applicants who advocate for women and are strong female ambassadors,” she said.

Nominations are open until September 28 for women aged 18 to 35.
Applicants must be nominated and sponsored by their employer, business or community organisation to be involved.
The 15 successful applicants will be notified in October and invited to an official welcome and induction evening, before going on to complete the personal and professional development courses.
The biggest crowns, Queen and Princess of Country Music will be announced at a gala dinner in January 2019.
The winner’s major prize is a trip to Tamworth’s sister city Gore in New Zealand, to represent Tamworth at the Gore Country Music Festival.
Over the next 12 months both the Queen and Princess will be involved in a range of high profile civic and community events.
