Tamworth entrepreneur Edwina Sharrock has been named in the top 100 most influential women in Australia by the Australian Financial Review.

In 2013 Ms Sharrock founded Birth Beat, which at the time offered face to face prenatal classes as an alternative to the hospital run courses.
Just five years later Birth Beat has grown into a nationally distributed digital product, signed a contract with healthcare giants HCF and even made a successful pitch to the panel on Shark Tank.

Earlier this year Ms Sharrock gifted a copy of Australia’s 50 Influential Women Entrepreneurs to every high school and tertiary education organisation in Tamworth.
She also works as a Rare Birds ambassador and has a strong vision for the health for rural and regional women.
This year's list was chosen from a record 850 entries, a large increase on the 370 received in 2016.
Entrants were asked to demonstrate the competency of self-leadership through challenges and hardships.
