Garden Street, South Tamworth
South Tamworth motorists who regularly travel on Garden Street are asked to avoid the section between Oak Street and Robert Street on Tuesday, September when road works will be carried out.
Heavy patching will be undertaken between 7am and 4pm to improve the condition of the roadway.
Traffic will be detoured using Elm Street and Oak Street.
Kent Street, West Tamworth
Motorists who regularly travel in Kent Street, West Tamworth, Garden Street are asked to avoid the Mahoney Avenue roundabout on Wednesday September 5 when road works will be carried out.
Heavy patching will be undertaken between 7am and 4pm to improve the condition of the road on the western side of the roundabout.
Westbound traffic will be detoured using Diane Street, Jenkin Street and Petra Ave.
Viaduct Park, Tamworth
Minor works will start on Monday September 3 in Viaduct Park, adjacent to Macquarie Street, in preparation for the new Youth Recreation Hub and Skate Park.
Works will include the removal of some trees and shrubs, and the relocation of picnic shelter facilities.
Playground facilities and wider access to Viaduct Park remain unchanged.

Crawford Street, East Tamworth
Work will start on Monday September 3 to replace a section of water main in Crawford Street, East Tamworth.
About 300m of pipe will be laid from Armidale Road to past the Gladys Street intersection over the next four weeks.
During some stages of the work there may be minor impacts on residents and motorists who usually travel in the street.
Council will provide specific dates and times for any impacts once they are known.
Manilla water main replacement
Work is in the final weeks of the Stoddard Street water main replacement project.
Pressure testing of the new main will be completed by the end of this week and next week work will start on installing water services in Ogilvie, Victor and Veness Streets.
There are no changes to traffic conditions expected but motorists are asked to take extra care near work sites.
Moonbi water main replacement
Work will be completed on Saturday on the water main replacement at Moonbi.
The connection of the new main to the network will take place between 9am and 1.30pm and a temporary water supply will be in place to ensure residents have no disruption to their water supply.
Residents have been advised there may be a small loss in water pressure.
Browns Lane, Moore Creek
Motorists travelling in Moore Creek are reminded of the reduced speed limit of 60 km/h at the intersection of Browns Lane and Moore Creek Road where upgrade works are underway.
Browns Lane is open to through traffic with traffic controllers on site to manage the flow of traffic in and out of the lane at the intersection.
Moore Creek Road traffic is reduced to one lane only during construction hours of 6.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Traffic lights will control the flow of vehicles. It is planned to open two lanes of traffic on Moore Creek Road each night.
